What is the Pop Quiz ?
The Pop Quiz is a time-sensitive quiz which lasts 5-30 minutes, based on configuration from the quiz creator. It is a multiple-choice question with 2 to 4 options. Each quiz has only one 'correct' answer which is defined by the quiz creator.
During the period when the quiz is valid, only one participant can answer the quiz each time. Once the quiz is answered, the quiz closes and the correct answer will be revealed immediately.
Creating a quiz requires the quiz creator to inject points. To answer the quiz, users must contribute a certain amount of points defined by the quiz creator.
Both the quiz creator and the quiz participant have the potential to receive rewards.
If the participant answers the quiz correctly, the points they contributed to the quiz will be returned and they will receive the additional points that were injected by the creator.
If the participant answers the quiz incorrectly, the creator gets the injected points back along with the points contributed by the participant.
Any user that holds a Pen can create and answer a Pop Quiz question.
Step-by-Step to Take Part in the Pop Quiz
How can you create a Pop Quiz question?
App - Entry point
Users can find the Pop Quiz from the side menu (Web)/Bottom Menu by clicking "+"(App).
The quiz creator can create the quiz up to 140 words.
The creator has to upload one picture.
The creator can set two to four options for a pop quiz, among which one option must be specified as the correct one.
The quiz creator needs to set the number of points (X) that a participant needs to contribute.
Based on the (X) and the number of options, the quiz creator needs to inject a certain amount of points (Y) as rewards, depending on the number of options.
The number of injected points must be a multiple of X.
The more options there are, the higher the multiplier.
Set a valid time period for voters. It could be 5-30 minutes.
Click create (Web) / release (app), the quiz will be published immediately and start counting the valid time.
How can you answer a Pop Quiz?
Users can click the pop quiz from the side menu (web) / flash icon from the bottom menu (app) and view the list of active and ended pop quizzes.
The user selects the Active tab to view the active quizzes with the points they need to contribute for answering the quiz.
Users can directly select the option. There's no way users can revise the answer.
Once the user selects the answer, the correct answer is shown.
If a user answers the pop quiz correctly, the user can earn the reward (X+Y). The amount of rewards are revealed immediately.
If a user answers the pop quiz incorrectly, the user loses the contributed points (X).
Click "I got it" to close the quiz. Users navigate to the active pop quiz page and can continue to participate in other quizzes.
*if no one answers the quiz before the quiz ends, the Y points will be refunded to the quiz creator.
How can you view the ended Pop Quiz?
In the Pop Quiz dashboard, users can click the "Ended" tab. Here, users can view the list of ended quizzes - either the quiz being answered or the quiz that is expired.
Click the quiz to view the details.
If the quiz is expired, it will pop up the message that the quiz has not been answered.
If the quiz is answered, the information about quiz creator, participant, points and reward will be shown.
How can you view the Pop Quiz history?
Click the icon in the top right corner of the Pop Quiz page, users can view the history of your Pop Quiz that they have created and participated in.
By clicking the Created tab, the user can view created quizzes. Both active and ended quizzes will be displayed.
Clicking an active quiz will prompt a pop-up: "You cannot answer your own quiz."; after closing the pop-up, you will return to the list of created quizzes.
By clicking an ended quiz:
If someone answered the quiz, it will show the quiz details including the quiz creator, participant, the contributed points, and the points reward.
If no one answered within the validity period, a pop-up will indicate that no one answered this quiz, and after closing the pop-up, you'll return to the created list page.
By clicking the Participated tab, the user can view the list of quizzes they have answered.
By clicking on any participated quiz, it will pop up quiz details including the quiz creator, participant, the contributed points, and the points reward.
